a drawing breakthrough

"An angel on a blue mountain with swirls"
"A duck"

It's a little ridiculous how proud I am of her and these two little pictures, especially the duck's beak. Up to this point I've seen nothing but traced hands, people who consist of mainly legs, and the letter A, so I'd say this is a step forward!

Well, I'm pretty sure that Alexis is a few grades ahead of Jake in the skill of drawing at this time in their lives! Jake's drawings aren't really happening. He'd rather color in a color book. But, if he does color -- he just ask Aaron or I to draw things for him. (And adds a few scribbles to it.) So, if I were you, I'd be pretty darn proud too! :)
Good work Alexis!

I love the pictures. It is amazing when they actually start drawing real things (or at least things that we can recognize). I love the duck!

I'm totally impressed. Seriously, I'd be proud too. Her art skills kick Kolbe's butt.

WOW. Jackson hasn't even tried to draw people yet. That is very impressive. Go Alexis.
